ABOUT KATELYN RICHARD

A little bit about me. I was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta. I always had a love the arts as kid, I would go to every art camp I could, and draw often. During my teen years I started to take an interest in photography. After graduating, I decided I wanted to pursue a career in the arts, and started at Medicine Hat College in the fall of 2020. I am currently in my third year working towards my Bachelors degree of applied arts. Throughout my college journey I have found a lot of new passions. I have furthered my skill in both photo and video, as well as taken a huge interest in sculpture, graphic design, printmaking and typography. In my free time, I love cooking, hiking, snowboarding, spending quality time with my friends and family, and of course spending time with my two kitties, Rosie & Milo. Over the last couple of years I have gained a love for film photography. I love the idea of being able to live in the moment but still capture it, I always make it a priority to capture every moment, of my beautiful day to day life on film.
